In another violation of the ceasefire, Pakistani troops today targeted Nowshera sector in Jammu and Kashmir and fired six mortar shells.
Pakistani forces resorted to firing of mortar shells intermitent Jhangarh area in Nowshera sector in Rajouri district during the 45 minutes from 0640 hours, defence official Lt. Col SD Goswami said.
Indian troops to exercise restraint and not retaliate, he said, adding there was no loss of life or damage to property resulting from the shelling.
“In the combat readiness of troops along the Line of Control (LoC) on tape any evil design of the enemy,” added the representative.
