Anne Reid to play ‘Barbara Cartland’ in new BBC drama

English actress Anne Reid is set to play the famous romantic novelist Dame Barbara Cartland in BBC’s ‘Four’’s Men Are Wonderful’.
The Bafta winning actress Anne Reid will be seen depicting Cartland’s romantic life and her multifarious romantic linkage.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress will be seen playing Barbara Cartland, who married first husband Alexander McCorquodale in 1927 and gave birth to a daughter Raine – Diana, Princess of Wales” stepmother, reports Telegraph.
Barbara, who expired in 2000 at the age of 98 produced over 700 romantic novels, married her first husband’s cousin Hugh McCorquodale in 1936 and stayed with him until his death in 1963.
The couple had two sons together.
The BBC show will be aired in autumn
