$87 mn ADB loan for Bangladesh towns

Dhaka, Oct 30 (Xinhua) The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will lend Bangladesh $87 million to improve basic services and infrastructure in small and medium-size towns of the country.
Some 3.8 million people are expected to benefit from the project which will target 35 towns, including slum areas.
The project will be carried out from 2009 to 2014 in three phases.
Individual income, employment, and land values in all participating towns are expected to increase after the completion of the project.
