Paes-Dlouhy ousted from Paris Masters

Paris, Oct 30 (IANS) India’s Leander Paes and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy made a shock early exit from the Paris Masters, going down in straight sets to unseeded Brazilian pair Marcelo Melo and Andre Sa in the pre-quarter final round.
The fourth-seeded Indo-Czech combine, who got a bye in the first round, when down 3-6,2-6.
Third-seeded pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Bahamian Mark Knowles,too, got a bye in the opening round and will play Spaniard Rafael Nadal and Argentina’s Juan Monaco in the pre-quarter-final. Nadal and Monaco beat French wildcards Nicolas Mahut and Paul-Henri Mathieu 6-2, 6-4 in the first round.
