BSP leader, seven supporters charged with rival’s murder

Lucknow, Nov 21 (IANS) A leader of the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and seven of his supporters have been charged with the murder of a Samajwadi Party leader in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj district, police said Friday.
“Ram Kewal was sprayed with bullets by BSP leader Manoj Gautam and his supporters,” Sanjeev Gupta, the district police chief, told IANS over telephone.
Ram Kewal was killed in Rajapur village in Maharajganj, about 300 km from here, Thursday.
“Efforts are on to nab the BSP leader and his seven supporters,” said Gupta.
