Bono joked about suicide if Tom Jones rejected his song

London, Dec 6 (IANS) Rocker Bono jokingly threatened to slit his wrists if Welsh singer Tom Jones didn’t record a new song he had written.

Jones asked the U2 star to come up with a song but did not assure him that the song would be featured in his new album “24 Hours”. Bono was ecstatic and came up with a biographical song “Sugar Daddy” and was very happy with his effort. And he wanted to make sure that Jones would add it to the album, contactmusic.com reports.

Jones said: “The note that came with the demo said, ‘I hope you like it, Tom, and I hope you record… No big deal if you don’t, I’ll just slit my wrists’.”
